The short version
This site collects one thing: the name and email address you type into the release form, and only if you choose to submit it. We use it to tell you when the book is released. We do not sell it, rent it or trade it, and we do not run advertising or analytics tracking on this site.
What we collect
- Name and email address, only when you submit the release form.
- Ordinary server information that any website receives when a page loads, such as your IP address and browser type. This is handled by our hosting provider and is used to keep the site running and to block abuse.
We do not ask for, and this site does not process, payment details. There are no user accounts and no comment sections.
Why we collect it
To send you a message when Belonging is released, and to tell you where to buy a copy. That is the only reason.
Who else is involved
Running a website means relying on a few service providers. The ones that can see information from this site are:
- Cloudflare, which hosts the site and provides the anti-spam challenge on the form.
- Resend, which delivers the form submission to us as an email.
- Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces used on the page.
These providers handle information on our behalf. We do not give your details to anyone else.
Cookies
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. The anti-spam challenge on the form may set a cookie from Cloudflare for the sole purpose of confirming you are not a bot.
How long we keep it
We keep your name and email until the book has been released and announced, or until you ask us to remove it, whichever comes first.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to tell you what we hold, correct it, or delete it. Write to mariewoodson12@gmail.com and we will take care of it.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will change with it.
